Dad just came back from the Philippines and honored my usual request of bringing back their local fashion mags. I love reading fashion/style magazines in general, but I have an affinity for Asian mags with models that also have brown eyes and dark hair. Plus I forgot how good the art and design is coming out from the Philippines.

Preview, March 2010

The usual suspect in my imported stash, and probably my favorite fashion mag. Their editorials are on par with high fashion publications, but they aren’t ignoring the local culture either.

Metro, March 2010

Love the luxe yet bohemian cruise wear in this editorial. And where might one find those shoes in the greater Los Angeles area?

Meg, March 2010

I took this for a slightly older version of Candy and didn’t think too much of it, but they had an assortment of editorials that caught my eye. Stylish yet young at heart. Especially love the first shots.

Preview, June 2009

I actually picked this up at a Seafood City when I was visiting my parents over the weekend. It had a pretty pink cover. (You can see it in the first photo – I’ll scan those to the other blog.) I’ve spent the past couple of days trying to track down these pinky-taupe Ray Ban Wayfarer eyeglasses. I love the color!

Preview Bride, June 2009

This came with the main Preview issue. Love the middle dress. The couture bridal coming from Filipino designers is impressive, not to mention affordable from a US standpoint. (The dress costs less than $800!)

THIS GIRL.

Nicole Meierhofer appeared in just about every magazine I listed and you can see why. THAT FACE! I only posted about four pictures of her.

While Googling random bits and pieces I picked up from the magazines, I also stumbled upon the ones that Dad didn’t find – or think to find – but will specifically request next time.

Rogue: The Philippines’ version of a GQ/Details/Maxim, though less trashy and more classy. The photography/styling, the TYPEWORK – stunning.

Wedding Essentials: I WANT TO LOOK LIKE THIS ON MY WEDDING DAY!!!!

I’ve read my fair share of wedding blogs for oh, about the past three years. Then I recently deleted them all from Google Reader because it was just the same ol’ colorless shit. Coincidentally I stumbled upon this site and saw their covers. Women that look like me! (I mean, kinda.)

Anyone want to grab me a few more issues?
