Did you know that Hello Kitty and I have the same birthday? Royal/T in Culver City threw a big birthday bash in her honor, so I naturally went to steal what spotlight I could. It’s called Three Apples, which is apparently how much Hello Kitty weighs in fruit. Mmm hmm.

They had a Hello Kitty apartment decorated with Hello Kitty appliances, figurines, and even flowers.
Also up for display were a corset that Katy Perry wore and a dress that Lady Gaga wore for a recent photoshoot.
Pretty much everywhere you turned, in every corner you could find, there was something with Hello Kitty on it. And it was awesome.
What I love about Royal/T’s events is that I can wear my most girly / costume-y / ridiculous get ups and still manage to look normal. Just like this jumper that I bought from the beloved Erin Fetherston collection for Target a couple of years back, which happens to resemble the one that HK wears. And then I also bought kitty ears from Etsy (from LA-based sweetsandhearts yay!) and hello instant Hello Kitty outfit.
