Frost & Wine: Los Olivos, CA
Sep 10, 2009 • 11:40 am • in Dessert, Santa Barbara, Travels 2 CommentsOur main purpose in driving up to Santa Barbara was to go to a winery, but the downtown area held mainly wine bars and restaurants. So we made our way up to the Los Olivos area where the wineries are. I found Saarloos & Sons on a whim after reading about their cupcakes & wine pairings – two of my favorite indulgences? Let’s do this.
Not only is this wine tasting the best idea ever, but the inside of the tasting room is straight out of the best pages of Domino. Take a look for yourself – I think I just about photographed every nook and cranny of their space.
That’s the lit-up face of someone who has been deprived of cupcakes for much too long
194Five is named after the year that their grandparents married, hence the wedding photo of them on the beautifully designed wine label.
Silhouette patterned walls, that is sick!! They were selling those canvas totes too, but I didn’t really NEED another tote bag after buying one from Marc Jacobs. This was a side room where you can hold small private parties – looked like a bridal shower was being held that afternoon. How cute is that?
