Off to where the sun shines
Because it’s definitely not shining in LA. Off to spend a weekend in Palm Springs at the Ace Hotel. I hope it’s as cool as it is in the pictures.
The Millennium Biltmore
In the year+ that I’ve lived downtown (and the 20+ years I’ve lived in the LA area), a couple Fridays ago was the first time I stepped inside the historic and glamorous Millennium Biltmore. Though not very gracefully, I might add – I almost killed myself stepping out of my building’s shuttle in five-inch heels....
Photo Finish
The wall above our couch in our living room (we have a studio, so it’s not really any other room other than one whole room) has remained empty mainly due to not knowing what to put up on it, but I am now in the process of acquiring a couple of photographs from a favorite...
And so we eat
Others chose to run 26 miles through the streets of Los Angeles this Memorial Day weekend. I, on the other hand, took a leisurely stroll down Gluttony Lane. Fried chicken and biscuits at Mrs. Knott’s in Buena Park (wearing the top I got at the Mike & Chris sale and inadvertently matching BF as usual)...

On Saturday I attended the opening reception showcasing the illustrations and photographs of four Pixar artists (both present and past) on the subjects of sex and science at Gallery Nucleus in Alhambra. I lived in the city of Emeryville in the Bay Area, where the renowned studio is located, so Pixar and I have got...
Allergies be damned
Kicking off the week with a late afternoon walk in the Cornfield. The goats were there too! I freakin’ love this park. It’s such a hippie hodgepodge of random things.

The district sleeps alone tonight
Photoshoot Sunday out in the Arts District – man, I miss taking photographs. Nice being outdoors + interacting with PEOPLE + away from the computer.
The best things in life are free
Dinner at Bottega Louie for 9: $21/person Treats to take home: $0/person* Overall, a very recession-friendly dinner to be had. * God forbid a girl in LA should eat a whole loaf of bread by their lonesome – yes, I said “loaf”, there were that many – so we passed on most of our goodies...
